You have nothing to worry about, normally you need a package of 6-8 treatments to see full result. In time your hair will grow back completely.

If you stop your laser hair removal treatments now, it is possible that some of the hair may grow back, but at this point only time will tell. It is impossible to reduce a specific amount of hair with laser hair removal. Patchy hair growth until permanent hair reduction is achieved is normal and to be expected. This should all have been discussed with your prior to your treatment by your provider. 

there is absolutely no way to just "reduce" the amount of hair in an area. hair growth is on a cycle and it will be patchy and often leave "spots" of loss.  if you are goign to remove hair you need to reduce it completely or just don't do it. In general, it takes 3-4 treatments of LHR to have noticeable  results. I wouldn't be concerned that too much hair was removed. There is some stunted growth too with LHR. I'd say you won't even notice you had anything done in 3 months.

It looks like you had a good response to your first treatment.  Typically, people want a region to be rid of hair.  Usually a series of six treatments accomplish this.  I am not sure why you just anticipate one session.  It sounds like you got some reduction of hair in this area.  So, you should be satisfied. Usually hair doesn't grow back.  Treatment is patchy until the area is completely cleared of hair.
