Can jaw shaving/contouring be done under local anesthesia? (Photo)

I don't want something huge done. I just want the doctor to shave some of my jaw bone on the sides. I don't want to be under general anesthesia because the thought of going under scares me and I'm sure I can hold still for the shaving part. Can't be worse than the dentist if they numb me.
