I got Juvederm Voluma 2 weeks ago in one particular area in my jawline to “smooth” It out and it left my face looking lumpy and saggy. Do I leave it alone to dissolve or do I get injections to dissolve? Is it possible she damaged my facial tissue and I’ll look like this forever?
Answer: Should it stay or should it go....Should I dissolve my botched jawline filler or wait it out? (Photo Hi ANM, Your injector has masculined your jawline. I would recommend an in person evaluation to determine your best course. It may involve dissolving some of the filler, or we may decide to give it a little more time to settle. Please feel free to call our office to schedule a consultation either in person or virtually at your convenience. Good luck and be well. Michael Persky, MD Encino, CA

Answer: Hyaluronidase Hi @ANM11. If you are unhappy with the results, I suggest you dissolve the filler with Hyaluronidase. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima

Answer: Reverse unwanted filler Filler migration and permanence is a very common problem because there are many different types of HA fillers on the market and each is specified for a specific part of the face. Use of highly cohesive fillers on thin skin may cause swelling and nodularity. If patients have filler migration or nodules, we recommend a combination approach of filler reversal with enzymes Hylenex and Hyaluronidase in different strengths to dissolve the filler. We may also need to add Kenalog to the mix in order to reduce fibrous tissue. If the filler does not dissolve, it either means the filler is not HA material or we need more enzyme. The HA reversal can be combined with other lasers and skin treatments at the same time, and it usually (usually) does not affect adjacent tissue. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Jawline Filler Unhappy with Results, Hyaluronidase, Lumpy and Bumpy -- emeragecosmetics lighstim I dont see it looking that bad, it appears to be mildly swollen, voluma takes 2-4 weeks to really settle. RF treatments and lightstim can help smoothen it out if you notice it really being "botched." I have seen many botched jobs and this really isnt one of them. If you are truly unhappy it can easily be reversed with hyaluronidase. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Unhappy With Jawline Filler Thank you for your question. If you are unhappy with your filler results then you can have it dissolved with Hyaluronidase. Voluma can be quite difficult to dissolve sometimes and multiple sessions of Hyaluronidase will likely be needed. Voluma takes about a year to dissolve on its own naturally. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced Physician. Best wishes.
