I have a thumbprint like depression in my medial face. I keep trying under eye filler--dissolving it and redoing it in attempt to fill the hollowness under my eyes and also fix this thumbprint issue as well. I am wondering if maybe a fat transfer would provide better results or if there is another treatment option for me?
Answer: Facial Rejuv -- PRP/Microneedling, Laser (Fraxel/Halo/Co2), emeragecosmetics COSMELAN/ENLIGHTEN/EMERAGESKIN AERIFY this is a tendon that is normal around the eyes for some people. nothing gets rid of this. fillers can camoflage it. lasers and peels at home help to improve the look. dermarolling should be done weekly at home (see link). at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules weekly, see linkt) should be started now to prevent further aging. For facial rejuvenation, I would suggest a combination approach of 1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling 2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors 3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel/halo Viva, Co2/Erbium 4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill 5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting 6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest 7) deep microneedling RF like Fractora/morpheus8 for tightening of the skin 8) Vascular laser like vbeam/excel V or BBL forever young treatment every quarter (3-4 months) Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Depression in medial cheek. Would a fat transfer provide the best results? (Photo) Hi kmh, I would recommend evaluation by an expert injectable physician. It appears that there may be excess filler still present. Once we are confident that the excess filler is gone, then I would use Restylane and/or Sculptra to solve your problem. Feel free to contact me regarding your consultation. Good luck and be well. Michael Persky, MD Encino, CA

Answer: Dealing with baseline anatomy To make a proper assessment and to have an understanding we really need to have a full history of all facial treatments. You should also let all fillers wear out so that whoever is making the assessment is looking at natural anatomy. Were you born with this? Is this from previous treatment? A little too complex to give any realistic valuable answer on real self. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Treatment of Medial Facial Depression This would normally be easy to treat with the proper filler placed deep in the depression between the muscles in the area, thus elevating the overlying soft tissue. However, yours may be more difficult due to your previous filler, which was probably placed more superficial and some, what appears to be, swelling from that. See an expert in this area different from who you have seen.
