I had my first session of sclerotherapy on both legs and my doctor told me to wear the stocking only during the daytime and for just 3 days. I have read many posts that state compression should be work constantly for up to 10 days. Should I be concerned that he is limiting the stockings to only 3 days?

Answer: Time to wear compression hose. The length of time to wear compression hose post sclerotherapy treatment is controversial. Some recommend no compression and some recommend up to 6 weeks. Years ago I use to recommend long time compression but over the years I have monitored my patients with decreasing length of compression and I have found that 2 days of compression for sclerotherapy is adequate.
