Rhinophyma is a condition characterized by bumps on the nose and is commonly seen in some patients with rosacea. Treatments include ablative and non-ablative laser resurfacing. I tell my patients that the recovery after the treatment usually takes 1-2 weeks. My patients see initial results at 4 weeks, full results at 3-4 months, and continued improvement over 6-12 months. Fully ablative rhinophyma treatments take a few weeks to heal, and if it is treated with Co2 redness will often last a few months.
