I've been using retina-A cream for about 2 months now for both of these problems and not seen any real results.

Expect to use retin-A for upto to 3 months before you will see visible results.  Used a stand alone treatment you may not seem much effect on only one product.

In general, most topical products require a minimum of 30+ days to see results. Your skin doesn't have the ability to change much before that, so it generally takes that long. Depending on your acne, Retin-A simply may not be enough for your skin. Consult your dermatologist.
