How long until you can sit down after having a BBL done?

Thank you for your question, I recommend you take off a week or two after the surgery, for your body to recover and regain strength, it's best if you don't sit on your buttocks for at least a week for the fat to grasp to the new located area.

I generally tell my patients to wait 8 weeks to sleep on their backs or sit directly on their buttocks. However, there are certain modifications that me and my staff discuss with you regarding sitting before the 8 week mark. Find a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and will be able to give you recommendations for post operative instructions. Best of luck

Each doctor has their own protocol It is very important that you talk to him about your concerns and goals. I recommend my patients not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

there is a lot of variation to the amount of time recommended to stay 'off' of ones buttocks after a bbl.  I typically recommend trying to avoid pressure to the area for at least three weeks, and when sitting during this time (such as when traveling in a car, etc), to sit on a soft pillow, to shift your weight while sitting, and to get up and relieve the pressure as frequently as realistically possible.

I prefer that patients wait about two weeks before putting a lot of pressure on their buttocks for any prolonged period of time.
