How long does swelling, numbness and soreness from Vaser Lipo typically last? (photo)

Question

I had Vaser Lipo done on my lower and upper abs and flanks on April 18th, 2104. I am pretty lean, 14% Body Fat, workout and eat extremely well. It has been about 26 days and I my lower abdomen looks so swelled. I assume this is post swelling and eventually it will flatten out. It is still sore to the touch and somewhat numb. I wore my garment and still wear to bed and a portion of the day. PLEASE TELL ME THIS SWELLING WILL GO AWAY AND THAT THIS IS NOT A BOTCHED JOB! Thanks.

hello peborah  Most swelling and bruising will heal in the first 2 weeks, but can persist for up to 6-8 weeks. Recovery is mostly base on the level of soreness or bruising that you may experience. You should visit or contact your PS about this concern.

To answer this question for ourselves, we did a clinical survey of over 100 Vaser lipo patients from our own clinic, and found that the average time for swelling, bruising, and numbness to begin to subside is about 16 days.  However, in the overall distribution of patients, quite a few still had significant swelling and soreness for up to 42 days.  You can have a look at our published results in the web link provided below.Based on our study, I think it unlikely that your swelling and soreness indicate a botched job, however, hopefully you're attending your aftercare, and your doctor is checking you for any complications that might have occurred.
