Why aren't my sunspots going away after 3 picosure treatments? How many will I need?

One spot has significant clearing but there are still traces of it mostly like an outline. The tech bumped up strength to what I think is 3.3. I don't know what if will take to make these spots completely go away.

I have found that the Alex-Trivantage removes sunspots after just one treatment.  Many other lasers claim to do this but after 3 sessions you should consult a physician who uses this laser.  I wouldn't have a tech deciding my treatment parameters for a laser on my face.  Please consult a board certified dermatologist who is an expert in lasers for the best cosmetic result.  Best, Dr. Green

When treating sunspots, we typically use the Picosure Focus Lens which delivers the energy a bit differently than straight Picosure.  The Focus Lens intensifies the treatment energy in a fractional like pattern to achieve a greater effect on the pigmentation.  Have you tried this component yet?  Maybe that might help clear the pigmentation.  It is important to differentiate "sun spots" from melasma, as melasma can often times be very difficult to clear.  Also, make sure your skin is not tan prior to treatment so maximum settings, based on your inherent skin color, can be utilized.  Hope that helps and continue to wear your sunscreen!
