How long does it take for Spironolactone to kick in for the treatment of Seborrhoea?

Hello and thank you for your question. One of the common side effects of spironolactone is that it can cause irregular menses. I would recommend consulting a board certified gynecologist for evaluation of irregular menses and discussion of appropriate treatment. Best of luck. 

I have found spironolactone to be reliably effective in treating hormonal acne.  It typically takes 2 months to see results from spironolactone; you may see continued improvement for a few months after that.

Spironolactone is normally ok to resume following surgery. Unless you were told specifically to avoid it, it should be ok to begin taking it again. Best of Luck!
