How long does it take for Spironolactone to kick in for the treatment of Seborrhoea?

I have been on Spironolactone for one month for Seborrhoea, I do not really have bad acne just seborrhoea, i have not really seen a decrease in sebum yet I am on 100mg is this medication not working for me? or does it take longer to kick in thank you :)

I have been unimpressed with Spironolactone for Seborrhea.  I would recommend scheduling an appointment with a Dermatologist at 8 weeks after starting medication for an alternative treatment plan.  What you see is what you get at that point, typically.

It takes any treatment 6 to 8 weeks before improvement can be seen. I have not used Spironolactone for seborrhea, and don't even know if it works. Give it the 6 to 8 weeks to see if it does. You didn't mention where you have the problem and treatment for this may be different for the face compared to the scalp.                      jlr

Spirolactone is ineffective for seborrhea. Please see a board certified dermatologist, there are many treatments for this common skin disease.
