I am 20 years old and I recently started wondering just what size exactly are my breasts....(I have been in denial about how truly big they are and I have been sadly stuffing my boobs into a 38 DD for quite some time now and never understood why they always spill out over my cup!! Ughh so frustrating!) I am really unhappy with my breasts- not to mention they hurt my back! Need a professional opinion! What should I do!? What kind of doctor do I go to so I can get this reduction started??
Answer: Breast Reduction I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified, Double Fellowship-Trained Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Am I a Candidate for a Breast Reduction? Overly large breasts can cause some people to have health problems, self-image issues, physical pain and discomfort. A reduction mammaplasty, or a breast reduction, is a procedure that removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body and to alleviate the discomfort associated with large breasts. This procedure also works to lift the breasts, as years of excess weight can cause the breasts to sag. As long as your breast have stopped growing, and there are no medical conditions that prevent a breast reduction, most people looking to reduce their breast size are candidates for a breast reduction.Typically, Plastic Surgeons are the surgeons to see for this type of procedure. It is always best to seek out a Board Certified Surgeon with experience in breast reductions, lifts and augmentation.

Answer: The Bellesoma Method At age 20, you should be concerned with vertical scars, loss of nipple sensation and the inability to breast feed. These occur with the anchor technique. For that reason, an alternative technique was developed called The Bellesoma Method. This will reduce and reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief without excessive reduction. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Am I a candidate for #breastreduction? Sounds like you have classic symptoms of a breast reduction candidate. Breast reduction is meant to achieve the following objectives: Raising and repositioning the nippleRestoring breast tissue to a higher, less descended location on the chest wallSignificantly reducing the volume — and hence the weight – of the breastTightening and removing sagging, loose breast skin by placing an incision around the nipple, as well as vertical and possibly horizontal ones depending on the amount of skin excess and how low the breasts hangInsurance coverage depends on the symptom profile, your carrier's policies, and the relative volume of breast tissue the surgeon thinks can/should be removed in order to ameliorate the symptoms. Go on some consultations with surgeons in your network to see if you will meet criteria. A pre-determination process is available with a lot of payers to determine ahead of surgery if you meet coverage criteria and with what minimum volume of removal.
