I want to get my teeth whitened however I have a white spot on three different teeth. Wouldn't be too bad however one of them is on my front tooth and so very noticeable. It is a lot brighter and whiter than the rest of my tooth. My dentist said the only way to get rid of it is to drill and then put a colour filling of my tooth colour. However then when I get my teeth whitened the filling will be the old colour of my teeth and if I do it after whitening, my teeth colour will change anyway.

Answer: Teeth Whitening / Deep Bleaching to Remove White Spots
Hi:I would love to see the photos of the gums to see the exact swelling you are talking about. Normally any gum burn due to whitening goes away in a few days. Best,Dr. Maddahi
The dark areas in between your teeth are either heavy staining, discoloration from decalcification or decay (cavities). Your dentist should be able to give you an idea for treatment needs and cost.
You have two options based on your budget. The first is to whiten your teeth and have some composite placed to fill in the gaps. The second is to place crowns. Obviously the crowns are more expensive but you dont have to worry about the color changing or composite popping off.
