Should I be worried about my short roots? (photos)

I went to see if I could get braces recently on my top teeth (Invisalign or stb social 6 lingual braces) and was advised against it as I have short roots. I had braces in my teens and the dentist scared me quite a bit talking about the shortness of my roots. Should I be concerned? And can I definitely not have further orthodontic treatment?

Thanks for posting photos. You do have extremely short roots. With normal wear and chewing forces you may never have a problem. These teeth are at higher risk if there is trauma to these teeth. Orthodontics can fall into the category of trauma. I would advise against doing additional orthodontics unless you have a back up plan in case these teeth lose more root length.
