Should I be worried about my short roots? (photos)

I went to see if I could get braces recently on my top teeth (Invisalign or stb social 6 lingual braces) and was advised against it as I have short roots. I had braces in my teens and the dentist scared me quite a bit talking about the shortness of my roots. Should I be concerned? And can I definitely not have further orthodontic treatment?

The lower front ones could be higher and will have to be moved higher at some point to get your lower front teeth leveled out.  That may just be the way your doc does things though.An ortho that is moving fast is more likely a sign that they know exactly what they are doing.  I would...
