What's the best procedure to have a non-surgical brow lift? Would ULTRAcel work?

Question

I'm in my early 30-ties and have a lot of sagging skin above my brows- I would like them both to be lifted up half an inch, equally on all sides of the brow (not just the mid-end bit of it as Botox often does). What are the options please? I've heard of Ultracel but also have been told it's not powerful enough to lift a muscle (like the one brows are on). Thanks!

Thank you for your question. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine your candidacy for non-surgical options (like fillers and lasers) and surgical procedures (such as the brow lift and blepharoplasty).

For a full half inch of lifting you will likely need a surgical brow lift. The botox injection to the orbicularis oculi is helpful for a subtle lift of the lateral (outer) brow. The Ulthera, or Ultracel, technology will provide some mild tightening of the forehead skin but will not generate a half inch of lift.  The surgical brow lift is normally performed endoscopically with incisions placed behind the hairline.  You and your surgeon can decide together where you would like your brow placed prior to surgery.

An endoscopic brow lift would be the ideal procedure to achieve a symmetrical lift of the forehead and eyebrows. There is really no non-surgical procedure to give you a one half inch lift to the eyebrows with a sustained long term result.  Although surgical an endoscopic brow lift entails only small incisions hidden in the hairline and no skin is removed.  It is safe and effective procedure with minimal downtime.

Non-surgical treatments have advanced a lot in recent years and there are a range of options for lifting such as Ultracel. In my clinic we like to combine a number of treatments to lift which gives amazing results.
