Got First Session, put bandage over it, told me to cover it only for 2 days (and Not to put water and heat), After 2 days, remove the bandage and put Vaseline for a week. Is this a proper care after laser treatment on tattoo removal? Any other Good Care If you could suggest?
Answer: Tattoo Removal Aftercare Hello,Tattoo removal can result in either scarring or ghosting. Here are some tips: Faster pulse second technology like pico second is a better technology than nano for scarring. Experience can help patients. Oversight from an experienced physician (best if plastic, facial plastic or dermatology) will likely result in safer outcomes.Stay out of the sun— sunlight can be harmful to healing in after any laser procedureAvoid infections- This means keep your tattoo area clean (i.e. don’t garden right after a tattoo removal on your arm, etc), don’t pick scabs or blisters if they occur. Follow our post procedure instructions. Avoid swimming for 48 hours as water can infect the treated areas.Allow healing between treatment sessions- typically 4-8 weeksBe healthy- while the tattoo laser breaks up the tattoo particles, your body will actually eliminate the particles in one of 3 ways. This will help achieve this process faster and allow for consistent healingBest, Anil Shah

Answer: Laser tattto removal aftercare I typically advise my patients to wash the area with soap and water and then apply a thin layer of Acquaphor. And don't bandage it after the first day. You want the area to breathe. Hope this helps. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram

Answer: Tattoo Removal Thank you for your question about Tattoo removal. You should clean your tattoo with an antibacterial soap or witch hazel, but do not rub hard. After, you can apply a very thin layer of aquaphor. Do not keep it covered after the first day, let it air out. To be sure what is best, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment withI hope this helps.

Answer: Yes, you can have laser tattoo removal to remove the remaining ink over scar tissue. Thank you for your question. Yes, you can have laser tattoo removal to remove the remaining ink over scar tissue. I recommend having treatment with the Picosure laser as it is effective in removing 70-90% of a tattoo and works best on dark colors. I recommend having a consultation with an expert to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!

Answer: Aftercare for Tattoo Hello, Aftercare for tattoo is very important to the healing process and the better you care for your tattoo the better your results will be. POSTOPERATIVE TREATMENT CAREImmediately after treatment, there should be a “slight frosting” on the area that is treated. Erythema (redness) and edema (swelling) at the treatment site can occur and may last up to 2 hours or longer. Pinpoint bleeding may also occur. An ointment (Aquaphor, bacitracin, or even Vaseline) should be applied to the treated area and covered with a non-stick bandage. After treatment, the skin will scab over. It is very important not to pick, scratch or aggressively wash the area to prevent possible scarring. This crust should flake off in 7-10 days.Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyper-pigmentation (darker pigmentation)Use sun block (SPF 30+) at all times throughout the course of your treatments. There are no restrictions on bathing except to treat the area gently, as with any other wound.Good Luck!
