My penis is bruised after liposuction. How long will it be before I can have sex?

Hi. I had Vaser liposuction on my upper abdomen, lower abdomen and side flanks 3 days ago. In addition to the bruising and swelling on these areas, the base of my penis is heavily bruised. I read on this website that the additional bruising is perfectly normal (and usually the rule rather than the exception with abdominal liposuction). Just wondering how soon after this procedure can I engage in sexual intercourse given the bruising (note that my penis does not hurt at all)? Thanks very much in advance.

Hello peborah  Most swelling and bruising will heal in the first 2 weeks, but can persist for up to 6-8 weeks. Recovery is mostly base on the level of soreness or bruising that you may experience. You should visit or contact your PS about this concern.

A quicker #recovery for a patient may be two to three weeks without any strenuous activity. This includes the short period of suggested rest of 12-24 hours soon following the procedure. #Exercise and activity are contingent on how the patient feels.
