My penis is bruised after liposuction. How long will it be before I can have sex?

Hi, please take not that pain and discomfort varies greatly between patients. Usually, #swelling and bruising will be improved by 2 weeks but may persist for up to 6-8 weeks. Activity is largely dependent upon how you feel. It is mostly based on the level of soreness or bruising that you may experience. To be sure, you may resume sexual intercourse when bruise is completely gone. Be sure that you follow your surgeon's instructions as to caring for yourself during #recovery (such as wearing garments or lymphatic massage). If you have any concerns at all about your healing process, do not hesitate to contact your surgeon.

You are correct that most times the swelling/bruising is normal, especially in dependent areas. .  .You really should speak to your surgeon to see when they feel that it is safe for you to engage in intercourse since they are managing your post-operative care and restrictions. I usually tell my patients to avoid in heavy exercise or things that will increase heart/rate blood pressure for 2-3 weeks after surgery.  But again, speak to your surgeon for their recommendations. You can also review your preoperative paperwork because often that type of information is included in those packets.
