Is this mole normal? Elevated with sink pink center 0.5cm diameter (Photo)

Question

I have this mole on my thigh, it looks very unusual to the ones I can find online. Is it normal? Should I remove it? It's 0.5cm diameter, slightly elevated, with a pink center that sinks in. It appeared about 2 years ago, it hasn't grown much since, at least not at noticeable rate.

If you are concerned about a mole, or it has symptoms like itching, burning, pain or bleeding, please do not hesitate and have it removed.  Please go to a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in mole removal and lasers so you can limit the scarring. This is likely not a mole but a dermatofibroma, and removal will be cosmetic.
