If you soften the muscles of the forehead there is less movement and the veins become more prominent.  The vein was there previously is just more noticeable now.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi kerrybennettThank you for your question and photos.  When Botox is injected it relaxes muscle movement which in turn makes everything appear a lot softer.  With that being said you are now seeing your veins that have been there but are more prominent due to the muscles being relaxed.  Best regards

There are a couple of things going on. first, the vein has been there but did not show up as much until the muscles around it were relaxed. also, you have the so-called Mephisto look because the injector did not inject the forehead lateral enough. return and get it injected but be sure you are seeing a board certifed dermatologist or plastic surgeon

This is a challenging issue to address based on static photos. I strongly urge you to consult with the practitioner who administered your Botox. There are often things that can be done to address, improve or correct undesirable things you see as your Botox treatment takes effect. However, rest assured that any problems you may have now should be gone as Botox is metabolized away.
