Is swelling post hyaluronidase normal? (Photos)

Question

I have had a few 1ml Restylane and Uma Jeunesse injected in my lips. In the past month I have noticed a lump on my upper lip so I went to a clinic to have hyaluronidase injected to dissolve the lump. 5 days later the bump got very swollen and painfull. Is this normal? The clinic I went to is closed over the weekend so I will most probably not get a reply until then.

Filler complications are common. You may have an infection, abscess, or filler reaction that may or may not be related to the Hyaluronidase.Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon

This is an infection most likely. It might need to be drained and then antibiotics initiated. It is quite possible that the original bump was an infection as well.

Hi Cristina96, Hyaluronidase is more watery than fillers like Restylane and does not usually lead to painful swelling. How much was injected? The color of your lip seems darker too.
