Can I have a hair transplant? I have recurrent folliculitis and red area around folliculitis (there are couple active and inactive bumps )on donor area (back of head) ? If I can do that , may it be occurred on receipt area or worst than before on donor area?

If you  have recurrent folliculitis,  it  is better to  have treatment  of  infection  first and then  planning the  surgery .

There are many reasons for red bumps on the scalp. Some reasons have no impact in surgery and some reasons mean you are not a candidate. For example, a bump or two of irritant folliculitis has no bearing whatsoever on surgery outcomes.  A bump or two of bacterial folliculitis usually has no impact but should be carefully evaluated by the surgeon and treatment considered before the day of surgery. Bumps from folliculitis decalvans or lichen planopilaris or acne keoidalis or other causes of lymphocytic folliculitis or scarring folliculitis mean that surgery is not a good idea and should be cancelled until the disease is rendered completely inactive. Please be sure to see your doctor to review the exact cause.
