Can I have a hair transplant? I have recurrent folliculitis and red area

If you have recurrent folliculitis, it is better to have treatment of infection first and then planning the surgery .

There are many reasons for red bumps on the scalp. Some reasons have no impact in surgery and some reasons mean you are not a candidate. For example, a bump or two of irritant folliculitis has no bearing whatsoever on surgery outcomes. A bump or two of bacterial folliculitis usually has no impact but should be carefully evaluated by the surgeon and treatment considered before the day of surgery. Bumps from folliculitis decalvans or lichen planopilaris or acne keoidalis or other causes of lymphocytic folliculitis or scarring folliculitis mean that surgery is not a good idea and should be cancelled until the disease is rendered completely inactive.
