Can you get fillers while on antibiotics for acne?

I have scars from past cystic acne, which has returned. I want to go on antibiotics for it but am also looking to get fillers to plump up my scars until I can get subcision and laser. Is this advisable?

Acne scars can be filled in nicely and can be done while on antibiotics as well. There are several fillers available that do great.

Fillers can be done for acne scarring and are safe while on antibiotics.  I suggest a combinstion approac typically lasers, needling and fillers work well in concert together for better results.  Dr. Emer.

Having a filler injected while on an antibiotic for acne should not be a problem.  However, filler should not be injected in an area where there is a lot of inflammation or significant active acne.  I would recommend that you get any active acne under control before doing filler treatments.  I often use another medicine called Accutane (isotretinoin) to treat cystic acne.  I would not recommend filler injections if a patient is taking Accutane, both during the treatment course and for a few months afterwards.  Best of luck.
