Is there any/much difference in 205cc vs 230cc?

Question

I am a 34A just looking to fill a B/C. 5ft8 63kg 25 yo. I have my op booked in 4 weeks and I just want to make sure I get the right size, but I don't know if I'm stressing over nothing, and 25cc is a tiny amount..

It really takes a 50-75cc difference before you’d really notice anything at that size implant. Opt for the larger size as most women come back later asking for larger implants. Tall women with broader chest, shoulders, and hips can often handle larger implants that would make smaller women's chests look overcrowded and heavier. I would recommend that you go with the size that boosts your self-esteem, and fits your anatomy.

Hi there, thank you for your question. There is a small difference in terms of the width (diameter) between 205 cc and 230 cc implants . The right size can be determined correctly at the physical consultation by measuring your chest and breast width before the surgery.

After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. You should also be aware that results of surgery can change in the future with significant weight change and/or stretching of skin from the milk of pregnancy. Thank you for your question. The most common complaint following a breast augmentation is that patients wish they went bigger.  However, there is not much difference between 205cc implants versus 230cc implants. I suggest following up with your Board Certified Operating Surgeon with your concerns. Best of luck to you!

Dear Fantastic776621,breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

There will not be much of a difference between those two sizes. Based on personal experience with such petite implants, a common complaint afterward is not bumping up to the slightly larger size. Do what is best for you though. As always, be sure to research who performs your surgery to ensure the best likelihood of a positive result.
