If I have my dental implant crown removed, will the gum tissue grow back to what it was before the implant healing abutment?

stumble666
After the healing abutment was placed on the implant I noticed that my gum line receeded by about 75mm meaning the crown looks very long and in truth worse that what it looked like with just a simple plastic dental plate. I have a big smile and there is about a 1cm difference to the next tooth . My question is if I opt to have the crown removed (not the implant) will my soft tissue grow back to what it was before the healing abutment was placed on the implant or is that soft tissue gone forever
