I am about to replace several older (some less than 2 years old though) crowns due to decay at the margins, I have been informed that the margins on my existing crowns simply do not fit well or are bulky. I am an avid brusher and flosser, and also use a fluoride mouth wash. What are other ways to prevent future decay on the new crowns once they are placed? I want the new crowns to last a long time as well as protect my investment.
