Will breast implants make my congenital symmastia worse? (Photo)

I'm a 34B and I've struggled to find a surgeon in the UK that has had much luck with correction of natural symmastia. My current surgeon has been honest and informed me that he has tried lipo and suture to the area and on his experience it has not made a great deal of a difference and the sutures can cause scarring. He suggested going under the muscle and that's it was highly unlikely the area in the middle will worsen but not totally impossible. what are other surgeons thoughts??

The "symmastia" you are seeing is soft tissue. The muscles underneath should be separated and if the implant is placed under, it should not worsen.I would recommend placing the implant a little more lateral than usual since you do not desire to increase your cleavage.The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.best of luck!Dr Schwartz

Its hard to tell from your pictures alone, the extent of your symmastia, but if you desire breast augmentation you can go ahead and have it done under the muscle. Symmastia is unlikely to get worse in my view , with that approach, though it will remain as it is.
