Acne Scarring - Intracel RF vs Infini RF?

I know Infini well and have been briefed on the Intracel. I understand that the Intracel needles can go a maximum depth of 2 mm vs Infini's 3.5mm. I know the Intracel touts that it has monopolar possibilities to make it go deeper. However, how far the energy goes in the monopolar mode is not exactly known. It is better to place the energy exactly with the needles as does the Infini. The big question is do you need more than 2mm depth for treating acne scars. For most people, that answer is no.

I personally have used Infini, Intracel and Intensif as well as Secret. Infini is by far the most powerful- in fact the power delivery is usually in excess of what we require .It has 49 needles vs gen one Intracel 16. Both are insulated, but as Dr Weiner suggests, it only goes down to 2.0 mm. Most cases of tethered fibrotic acne scars are below this depth. Intensif has a stronger solenoid motor, but its weaker and its PD is only 200ms. Still useful, but I tend to use Infini RF over the others. I hope this gives a balanced review. Dr Davin Lim.
