I have kept it moisturized and have not even went outside since having the procedure to be sure to avoid sun. The fresh skin under what has peeled off is burning pretty badly. Just not sure if this is normal?

Avoid sun for at least 2 weeks after your peel and you can technically go into water after all the peeling has occurred but your skin is going to be more sensitive. I find low density low energy lasers to be better for long term. Best, Dr. Emer.
I suggest seeing your dermatologist. You likely have a little allergy and need oral/topical steroids, oral antihistamines and proper skin care/healing at this time. Best, Dr. Emer.
