It is too soon to have results with laser hair removal. It will take a series of treatments. I typically have patients do every 4 weeks for the first 3 times and then every 4-6 weeks for 3 times after. See an expert in laser hair removal for best results. It is very difficult to say what happened during your first hair removal session. Generally you may notice that it takes up to a week for the hair to regrow and that it will regrow fully. Depending on your hair growth you may need 3-4 treatments to notice any difference. Keep up with your treatments and let your provider know if you are not noticing any change. Good Luck!

Thank you for your question. Laser hair removal uses and intense, pulsating beam of light to remove unwanted hair. The intense heat of the laser damages the hair follicle, which inhibits future hair growth. It is too early after one session to determine what results will be. Laser hair removal is most effective for people who have light skin and dark hair. Laser hair removal is considered more permanent reduction than permanent removal. It takes 6-9 sessions to see 70%-90% reduction in hair growth.

Hair removal is very effective...however, it is a process, unfortunately. The laser only targets hair that is growing. Thus, all the hair you see today is not the same hair that was treated yesterday. That is why it requires multiple treatments to treat the growing hair. The treated hair will fall out, but can take a few weeks. If they have been "hit by the laser" you can actually take a pair of tweezers and they should slide out very easily. You should not have to pull. If you are pulling, those hairs probably did not get targeted by the laser. The same applies to plucking. That's why people pluck everyday. They are plucking different hair each day. 

It is way too early to decide about effectiveness of the LHR. Keep up with the sessions. It will require 6-10 treatments. You should start to see changes after 3-4 sessions.
