Will Invisalign work for my very crowded and crooked bottom teeth? (photo)

Question

My top teeth are alright, but my bottom teeth are very crowded and crooked. Will using Invisalign help straighten my teeth at all or is it better to just get braces? (I am 16 years old)

Your case could be treated with Invisalign but the treatment time will be much faster, coat may be less and the final result will be more ideal if you consider braces. You might research a short term orthodontic consideration such as six month smiles to move things along.

When correcting teeth, it is important to take into account how the bite comes together. If there is adequate clearance in your bite to allow for alignment of your lower teeth, then you can do this with either Invisalign or Braces. Invisalign aligners have to worn 20 - 22 hours/day to get correction, and compliance is essential in addition to having an Orthodontist plan out the correction keeping in mind your bite, etc.

If you are a disciplined person and are willing to wear your aligners for 22 hours a day then Invisalign might be a good choice for you but braces would be a great option too.
