I would recommend whitening toothpastes and alcohol-free mouth washes. Other that, it's a good idea to treat your veneered teeth just the same or better than your natural teeth. Even though your veneers are stain resistant, you should stay away from dark wines, dark juices, dark teas and coffee. Curry (as in chicken curry) is also a bad idea. I know this may seem like a lot, but in the grand scheme of things, it is a very small price to pay for beautiful, age-less, teeth. Veneers are what I do, so "Follow" me if you have more questions about caring for them.Sarah Thompson, DMD
Your porcelainveneers are made to withstand the same oral care products that other porcelainrestorations like crowns and bridges do. The only thing you may want to avoidis toothpastes that contain baking soda, as this abrasiveness could causemicroscopic scratches over time.
It is pretty well accepted that it is better to use non-alcohol mouthwashes. Both Breath-Rx and the non-alcohol version of Listerine are the brands that I recommend.Regarding tooth pastes, just better to use ones that are very low in abrasiveness. Usually smokers toothpastes, like Pearldrops, are more abrasive and as such, with long term use can possibly remove the smoothness and luster.

Having been a cosmetic dentist for the past 10 years and having done many full mouth rehabs, I do not advise applying veneers to posterior teeth. Of the thousands of veneers that I have done, I have applied over 90-95% of them to anterior teeth and only about 5% of them to posterior teeth...
Hello there, Gum overgrowth is most commonly due to medications like phenytoin (an antiseizure drug), immuno-suppressants, or calcium channel blockers like nifedipine, verapamil, diltiazem and amlodipine. I suspect that you may possibly be on one of these medications....
The good thing about temporary veneers is that they are very temporary, lasting only a week or two. They will easily stain with cigarette smoking and break or come off easily with eating course or chewy foods. The good news is that your real veneers will be stain resistant and very...
