As long as there are no hernias that developed of which you're unaware, then liposuction can still be done. There may need to be more effort spent at peforming the liposuction underneath the insertion scars but this is usually not an issue.
Anyone that has had previous surgery on the given area to be considered for treatment with liposuction should have a thorough physical exam to rule out hernias. If you do not have a hernia it should be fine.
If you have been examined by a Board Certified plastic surgeon and everything is well healed from your gall bladder surgery, liposuction should not be a problem.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder surgery) should present essentially no problem for liposuction. With the older and less commonly used open approach (large incision) there can be scar tissue formed that can make the liposuction more challenging. If you find a well trained, reputable board certified plastic surgeon, your previous surgery should have no impact on the overall results or the safety of the liposuction.
2 years after having the GB removed, you should have no particular problem as long as you are a good candidate for liposuction. Watch out for those non-plastic surgeons out there tempting you into their laser lipo clinics.
NO PROBLEM. Go have a consultation with a real surgeon...ABPS certified and a fellow FACS. and they can see if you have any wound hernias etc from your gall bladder. You will not, but they will check. Then if you are a canidate for lipo and want to do it....DO IT. You will be fine. Get 3 or 4 consults. Ask for credentials. Do consults ONLY with the surgeon and not with some hack sales person trying to oversell. In great hands lipo is safe. In not so great hands lipo is not safe. The surgeon makes all the difference. Sometimes between life and death. Be careful. No rush. Take a year to decide. You live with the resul forever. Dr Commons ABPS SURGEONS AND FACS PEOPLE ONLY PLEASE!
Liposuction with a small cannula done meticulously can reshape the waist, flanks, hips, outer thighs and abdomen in those patients who need just a small amount done to reshape them when exercise and diet no longer helps. For those patients who would rather not undergo a surgical procedure...
Yes I believe this is possible with you.I think the important thing would be for the surgeon to use small cannula's since the amount of fat to be removed is minimal.
If you go to a surgeon and he or she tells you they cant tell if you fat is in front or behind the muscle, leave quickly and find a new surgeon. Ant real surgeon certified by the ABPS etc and a FACS can easily tell by manual palpation...ie feeling your stomach.... if fat is...
