I had a lipoma removed 5 weeks Ago on my lower leg (just above my ankle) and its now double the size and feels tender to touch? And tight. Is this normal? And will the swelling go down?

If there is actually a hard lump in the place of the lipoma, it could be either a blood collection, hematoma, or scar. If there is a hematoma it will need to be drained.Samir Shureih MD. FACSsshureih@msn.com
