I had 650g and 750g removed from my left and right breasts respectively 6 months ago, 34J to a 34DD/DDD. Overall I’m happy, but I feel like the left nipple points out more and the right points forward, and my right nipple keeps migrating out of my bras. The shape and height of each breast also seems a little uneven. Also, what is the small dark dot next to my right nipple? It appeared a couple weeks ago. Should I ask about a revision or is this the best it will get? I don’t want more numbness..
Answer: Dissatisfaction with result 6 months after breast reduction Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos I note a moderate degree of preoperative breast size asymmetry. In the postop photos, there is a degree of breast shape asymmetry with lateral fullness of the right breast. It does not appear significant in one photo (relatively early postop?), but is quite significant in the others. There is also a "dimple" in the areolar scar which appears to represent a healing suture extrusion scar. There are asymmetric stretch marks of the breast, right more involved than left. Stretch marks indicate the presence of permanently damaged overstretched skin usually occurring during pregnancy, significant weight fluctuation, or macromastia where when pregnant or overweight, the skin's dermal elastic fibers rupture, resulting in the loss of elasticity and the development of streaks on the skin surface. The skin will stretch over a greater surface area and will predispose to further sagging. This appears to have happened in your situation. Breasts are "cousins", not "twins". Natural breasts are not symmetric either!Photos can be somewhat inaccurate, but you may be a candidate for a revisional mastopexy of the lateral limb of the right breast. 15% of cosmetic surgeries may benefit from touch up procedures.Revisit your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
