The contour of your neck and jaw line are primarily determined by underlying facial bone structure. When the mandible lacks forward projection platysma muscle drapes the neck in a more oblique angle. People who have a Mandible that is undersized compared to the Maxilla typically have a dental overbite occlusion. A profile will typically show an upper lip with more forward projection than the lower lip. A neck lift pulling up on the platysma muscle it’s probably a bit of an extreme procedure for someone your age. I know of one surgeon who has since retired who used to suspend the neck with a large permanent thick suture going from behind each year and literally pulling up the angle of the neck. he didn’t have nice results especially in young men like yourself which was the only time he did the procedure. The procedure was named after the person her first describe it but I’m afraid I don’t recall what the procedure was called. Perhaps someone else can come up with more brilliant answer than my own. I do know that bone structure is the primary and fundamental reason for how each one of us looks. Bone is much more variable then soft tissue coverage which tends to be fairly universal. For those who are overweight Liposuction works well but if there isn’t fat to remove than that procedure will only give subtle results. Good luck to you, Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
