When can I smoke after getting temporary crowns?

I will be getting temporary crowns put on 6 of my front teeth, I do smoke weed and vape nicotine. I am wondering how long I will need to wait after the procedure to start smoking?

You probably know us dentists' answers will be not to smoke at all! That being said, smoking shouldn't affect the teeth, but may discolor the temporary material faster than it would a natural tooth or a permanent restoration. Smoking weed also may significantly lower your pain tolerance threshold and affect how numb you're able to get when you're in the chair, so lay off as long as you can prior!

Smoking only causes delay on healing of soft tissues and discoloration of your temporary teeth. If there is no wound in your gums or soft tissues and discoloration is not an issue, you can smoke.
