In our office, we complement many of our fillers with peels, lasers, and facials. I would avoid a lengthy massage facial for a few days, but other cosmetic treatments can be done right away. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Any spa treatments on the area that was injected with any filler, such as Radiesse, need to wait for your skin to heal. Depending on the injection technique and the number of injections, it is reasonable to wait a week or two.In any case, I would recommend that you ask your injector for further recommendations.Best regards, Dr. Sapijaszko
I tell my patients to have the facial 24 hours after injections, but if there is swelling to wait 2 weeks. With cannula injections most people can do anything afterwards with little downtime. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hello lesagary,Thank you for your question. Radiesse is a calcium gel and you may experience some areas of tenderness and swelling, therefore I would wait a full 2 weeks before having a facial or anything invasive done to your face. I hope this helps! Good Luck!Dr. Kouros Azar
Ask your physician -- she knows where you were injected, with what and how much and your underlying medical history. I generally recommend my patients avoid facials, microdermabrasions and any procedures that apply pressure or massage to your face for two weeks after injection of a filler like Radiesse. If bruising and swelling are gone, I'll allow Fraxel laser resurfacing or Thermage a week afterward. The goal of these instructions is to avoid prolonged swelling and bruising and the risk of infection.
We prefer to have our patients wait a week following fillers to have a facial. Check with your injecting physician for his or her recommendation, but most aestheticians will massage and manipulate the face. This could be uncomfortable for you as well.
Dear Lesagary, I have my patients wait a week before having a facial after Radiesse injections. Best to discuss with your injector their personal post injection instructions. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
You can have a facial as soon as 24 hours after fillers. The only time I would recommend pushing this out further is if you have a great deal of swelling or bruising and the site is sensitive. It is likely you are going through some aging, which is a combination of genetics and sun. I suggest you see a facial contouring speciliast, you will need fillers, laser, radiofrequency/ultrasound treatments in combination to help texture/tone, improve volume, and crepe skin. Best,...
Raddiese, Bellafil or Voluma injections with needles or cannulas are great for angle of the jaw and jawline contouring. Some patients can also benefit from NeckTite liposuction or Botox injections below the jawline. The degree of improvement in mm is very hard to estimate as each patient is...
Granulomas can stick around for quite a while. In our office, we use a combination approach that includes injections, surgery, laser, and RF to break up the granulomas on the face. Massage with a silicone gel such as Plato's Scar Serum can also be of use. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian
Vascular occlusion is rare for all fillers, but can occur. The issue with Radiesse is the complication is much more difficult to treat given the inability to reverse Radiesse if this were to occur. Cannulas can prevent this from occuring and would be good for you to find a filler...
A combination of Radiesse and Sculptra can add stimulatory support for the soft tissue and further refine and improve your volume loss. Best, Dr Karamanoukian
