I originally had root canal and crown placed on my back molar. I had to go back 3 times due to cement fragments being stuck in my gums and a high point needed to be fixed. 2 years later I need a bridge costing $4,781. My question is, what recourse do I have? I feel that the original dentist did a very poor job as seen by the month long ordeal with bleeding gums. Would this be caused due to the crown being improperly sealed or is 2 years not unheard of for a crown to be in need of replacement.

It is likely that the tooth has another cavity and the top portion is loose. Or, there is an infection 'under' the tooth causing it to be loose.Either way, the tooth needs to be evaluated to see if it can be saved or if it needs to be extracted.Sincerely,Dr. Reiser
