What is the Average number of trays for Invisalign treatment to be effective? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hi!
It is hard to tell how many tray you need for correction.  My average for a full case is 20 trays.  If you have only 12 doesn't mean you won't have full correction.  Hope that helps!

My teeth used to be white but not anymore?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hi!  If you are not getting results with over the counter whitening, you probably need professional whitening.  Try zoom whitening or Kor whitening.  It should get you better results.

Pain (sensitivity to temperature changes) between two teeth (both are root canal teeth) after preparation for crown?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hi!  Pain in previously root canal teeth with cold sensitivity usually means there could be an active canal not seen on previous treatment.  X-rays don't show everything so it doesn't mean you have no infection.  It means the X-ray detected no infection when there might be infection there but too small to detect.   A cone beam 3D X-ray might give you answers whether you have reinfection or not.

I suggest having an endodontist  with 3D X-ray help you.

What could cause soreness and pain around dental crowns that are a few years old?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hi!  So you have some pain.  This could be:

-reinfection of root canal

you should always consult a dentist because waiting usually costs more money.

Had a root canal downey they put a temporary crown on will it hurt when remove temp crown put permanent crown on?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hi!  95 percent of the time, it shouldn't hurt.  If it does, you need to talk to your dentist to see why. Most of the time, we wait until there is no pain when a permanent crown is placed,

Should I do Invisalign refinement at this point? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hi! You lowers are still crowded.  Therefore, yes, you can file down teeth to make space.  Another option is to push forward upper and lower but your gums have tone able to tolerate that and you will look more protrude.  Either choice, you need a refinement.

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hi!

Possible ways to close bite; success depends your skull xrays.

If non extraction, vertical elastics and stopping your tongue thrust.

Otherwise, you may need extractions to close your bite.

Hope you that helps!

Is it normal to feel like vomiting while wearing Invisalign?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hi!  Sorry you feel like vomiting.  I have not heard this problem yet but I don't think it is abnormal.  It is a piece of plastic and when you have any foreign object in the mouth, you will tend to salivate more.

You probably have a bad gag reflex.  Try not to think about it.  Most gag reflex are psychological but hard to control.
Let your dentist know and see if there are any other solutions.

Part of my tooth came off! Invisalign question---please help!!! (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Hi!  Sorry your tooth broke off.  I would wear the most comfortable aligner until Monday.  And then let him or her know then.  As long as there is no pain and you act on Monday, there should be no problems.
