Can a new crown cause headaches, pressure in ear and sensitivity if too thick?

like bite issues. If the crown is too high, over time, it could cause all the
symptoms that you're mentioning. You should consult your dentist, especially if
your temporary crown caused no pain or discomfort.

A crown or filling that is to thick or high in occlusion (bite) can cause tooth pain, sensivity, jaw and muscle pain, earaches and headaches.  You should return to your dentist and discuss this with them, hopefully the crown can be adjusted down without ruining the shading of the crown or exposing the underlying metal or zirconia substructure. 

A bite that does not come together at the same time and without smooth grinding side to side can absolutely cause headaches and head and neck muscle pain.
