Can I get laser hair removal if I have a lot of scars? (Photos)

I used to self harm and I got some pretty bad scars, I want to do laser hair removal but I don't know if it is safe, I have them in my legs, arms, belly and shoulders ¿is it possible and safe for me to do it? And also , ¿ is there any way to get rid of the scars ? I'd really like to know.

Yes, you can have laser hair removal. It will take a series of treatments. These scars can be improved with a combination of lasers (ProYellow, Excel V, VBeam), Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. You should be able to do laser hair removal without any problems. There would be no contraindication to this.  The scars can be addressed by using another type of laser such as a CO2 laser (we use the lumenis accupulse). Sometimes we combine this with microneedling and PRP.  The lasers used for  laser hair removal would be different than the laser used for treating the scars so it would not be done at the same time.  Make sure that you consult with an experienced practitioner who can best advise you.
