Lazy eye, uneven eyelids. Are there any procedures to correct this? (Photo)

Question

All throughout high school and even occasionally now I am bullied for having a "lazy eye". As a teen, my mother took me to see an ophthalmologist who said it's not a lazy eye, but my eyelids are uneven. As an adult, I try to mask this with makeup, but some days are more noticeable than others. Are there any procedures to correct this?

You appear to have asymmetric upper eyelid ptosis and should benefit from ptosis surgery which can be done using scarless technique under local anesthesia with quick recovery (see video). See an oculoplastic surgeon.

This is not lazy eye. This is ptosis. Ptosis can be corrected with eyelid surgery. The most important thing is that the surgery be done aesthetically rather than just reconstructively. How you look matters. For that reason you need to find an oculoplastic surgeon who does their ptosis surgery aesthetically. You would think that would not be hard to find but you would be wrong. Blepharoplasty is not ptosis surgery. The ptosis surgery requires more technical skills and knowledge.

You appear to have eyelid ptosis which is a drooping of the eyelid. This can be created surgically to tighten or resuspend the muscle which controls the length and movement of your  eyelid. Hi,The medical term for lazy eye is eyelid ptosis. It can be corrected with surgery.
