I have dermal PIH due to excessive plucking and not using sun protection. I have PCOS so hair growth is more than average. I need to remove the hair in order to avoid further PIH. Which method is safer on already dermal hyperpigmented skin? I am East Indian with a fitzpatrick skin type 4. Will the laser target the pigment in the hair follicle if I already have dark hyperpigmented skin there? Which causes less damage to the skin? I have read that laser can cause melasma, is this true? Thank you
