Hello and thank you for your question! Our office uses and recommends Excel V for laser vein removal therapy. Due to the range of wavelengths used in the Excel V laser, it can treat practically anything from tiny veins on the face to larger veins such as those found on the legs. The light energy used will coagulate the blood in the vessels of concern, which will shrink their appearance. The body will then reabsorb this, and the blood will be redirected to veins deeper below the skin’s surface. The treated veins will be less noticeable on the skin’s surface. Results can be seen within two to six weeks after the first treatment, but this will vary depending on the size and area of the veins to be treated. This is a completely light based laser treatment, so there is little to no downtime associated with it. Patients can return to their daily activities right away, although you should wait twenty four hours after receiving a treatment before resuming strenuous exercise. In addition, it is recommended to avoid exposure to the sun if possible or apply sunscreen to the areas treated if they will be exposed to the sun. If this is something you would be interested in, I suggest that you research trained professionals in your area to ensure you get the best possible outcome. Hope this helps!
