I got my perminate veneers 3 weeks ago but I sometimes feel self conscious that other people are looking at my teeth and that they look fake. How long does it take to get used to the look of them. I'm not sure if I should go back and get them reshape to make me feel better

Hi:It is normal to feel the junction between your tooth and the veneer since the veneer does not cover the entire back surface of the tooth. This is one of the reasons why veneer preparation is much more conservative than a crown.Best,Dr. Maddahi
Hi:It's best to take an xray of the tooth and check the nerve to make sure there is no infection. There is a possiblity that the pain is due to either trauma or clenching or grinding pressure as well, in which case it should subside within 7-10 days.Best,Dr. Maddahi
