Getting used to veneers, how long does that take? (photos)

Question

I got my perminate veneers 3 weeks ago but I sometimes feel self conscious that other people are looking at my teeth and that they look fake. How long does it take to get used to the look of them. I'm not sure if I should go back and get them reshape to make me feel better

Your 4 new porcelain veneers are obviously whiter than your other teeth, So the whiter they are the bigger it shows to the eye! In my experience, if there was a change in length or closure of a gap, one usually gets used to it within 2 weeks, however if you have chosen a color much brighter than adjacent teeth, this will remain! 
Solution is bleaching other teeth, or do more veneers to extend to the corridor, and cover the full smile line, or last possibility change them.

Hi:In my experience, after 1-2 weeks you should be use to the look of the new veneers.  If there is anything specific bothering you, you should share your concern with your dentist.Best,Dr. Maddahi

Are you happy with the outcome of the veneers? If you are pleased with the final product then I would not worry about other people and get on with smiling. If you have doubts about the shape or esthetics have a discussion with your dentist about how you would like to change them. remember, once veneers are altered they can't be changed back to their previous shape.
