Does laser hair removal of the bikini area cause offensive odor?

I've been wanting to get laser hair removal but i have some friends that said they experience body odor down there after getting lasered. Is this a normal side effect? Would waxing just be better?

Hello and thank you for your question! During the treatment, you may notice a 'charred hair' smell. That smell is temporary and stays in the treatment room. There is no other lasting body odor associated with laser hair removal. Have a great day!

HiWe have never experienced Laser Hair Removal causing permanent body odour.During the treatment itself there is often a singed hair smell if there is a small amount of hair present on the surface however this will not continue afterwards.Hope this helps

Laser hair removal treatments should not cause body odor. Occasionally, there may be a singed/charred hair smell if the hair is too long during the procedure. However, this scent would only be experienced at the time of the procedure.

Laser hair removal should not cause body odor after having a treatment done. Yes, there could be a char smell from any hair follicles that were singed, but that is it. I have never had a client express that issue and we have been performing laser hair removal here for almost ten years.

Hi there and thank you for your question.  Hair removal gives off an odor no matter where treatment is, some are worse than others.  But, the odor is left in the office!  Should not cause body odor.  Hope this helps!!!

Laser hair removal should not cause body odor. There is an odor associated with the hair that is being treated (char)  but that should dissipate quickly after the treatment.
