Thank you for your question in regards to laser hair removal. It is always suggested to confirm with your provider prior to treatments, but if you are not treating the area where the Benzaclin is being applied, you should not have any adverse reactions during laser treatments. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
You are absolutely fine do have LHR in the underarms while using Benzaclin on your face. The benzyl peroxide in benzaclin can cause photosensitivity but usually the photosensitivity occurs in the areas where the medication is placed (or close by). The underarms will not become photosensitized by BPO on the face. Go for it--you will love not having to deal with armpit hair!Best regards,Dr. Amy
