Thank you for your question. Chemical peels can be used to improve the appearance of your skin and liposuction is used to remove excess fat. It is safe to do a chemical peel on your face after having liposuction so many years ago. There are many different peels and different strengths. Each peel can remove certain layers of skin and new skin will be stimulated to grow in its place. This way, your skin and appearance will be rejuvenated. I suggest you have a consultation with a plastic surgeon to learn more about what would be best for you. Good luck. Best wishes, Dr. Suzette Miranda
Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Thank you for your question. Chemical peels are safe to do after a facial liposuction years ago. I suggest that you work with the same board certified facial plastic surgeon as long as you are satisfied with your initial results.Best wishes,
It is safe to have a chemical peel after liposuction. Keep in mind, scars need a combination approach with lasers, microneedling/prp, subcision and fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
It is safe to have a chemical peel after you are fully healed after liposuction. The liposuction will contour the face underneath the skin and the chemical peel will improve the quality of the skin.I hope this helps.
Thank you for your inquiry. It is perfectly safe and okay to receive your chemical treatment since your liposuction surgery back in 2012. Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon for best results. Regards,

I definitely understand your concern! The pictures you included show what happens after a chemical peel. I would apply as much moisturizer as possible, keeping it in the fridge will cool the skin when you apply it. If the reaction from the peel is particularly vigorous, sometimes I'll use a...
