Good Morning, thank you for your concern. CoolSculpting is designed to freeze your fat cells preparing you for Apoptosis. There is no clinical research that has been shown that it can or will kill cancer cells. Best, Anil Shah
Hello Dawnz1960,CoolSculpting freezes fat cells to reduce areas of unwanted fat. It has no role in cancer therapy. If you've been diagnosed with cancer you should see an oncologist for the most appropriate treatment options.Oscar A. Aguirre, MD, FPMRSUrogynecologist & Cosmetic Vaginal SurgeonDenver, CO - USA
CoolSculpting is a procedure designed to reduced isolated areas of unwanted fat. The treatment will not kill cancer cells or treat cancer.
Coolsculpting is using cold energy that targets fat cells. This makes Coolsculpting a safe way to reduce fat non-surgically since it doesn't put your organs to any risk. So the answer is that no, there is no scientific data that shows Coolscupting would treat cancer since it only targets your fat cells.
Hello and thank you for your question. Cool Sculpting freezes fat cells and there is no medical research that suggests it treats cancer in any capacity. Best wishes.Dr. T
I'm not sure about what cancer you are trying to eradicate. While cold therapy might work for some cancers, keep in mind that CS doesn't even kill all the fat cells it treats. I wouldn't like to kill just 25% of the cancer cells. Future modifications of this technology might become promising but as is, don't count on it killing a cancer.
Dear dawnz1960, Do not confuse cryotherapy withCoolSculpting.Cryotherapy for cancerous tumors is a freezing technique to kill malignant and pre-malignant cells; and requires oncologic follow-up.Cryotherapy for fat cell reduction uses a cooling (not freezing) technique of programmed cell death called apoptosis to "turn-off" fat cell survival. Consult with the appropriate Board Certified Specialist for the care you need. All the best!
Thank you for your question. Fat cells do not multiply, nor do they migrate to other areas. You are born with a finite number of fat cells and if you take in more calories than you burn, those cells can enlarge. In your case, it sounds like that is occurring in other areas of the body. You can...
With proper technique/ application, this would be a very rare occurrence (that we have not seen). The main reason is that liposuction depends on the technical aspect of running a small tube (less than ¼ inch) under the skin multiple times, trying to evenly remove the collection of fat. On the ...
