Many surgeons will perform surgery on patients that are 18 years old if their prescription has been stable over the past couple of years. There are many things that have to be considered in addition to your prescription power to make sure that you are good candidate to have any laser vision correction procedure so my advice to you would be to schedule a LASIK consultation with a doctor near you to see if you are a good candidate.

Many providers will provide surgery for those that are age 18 and above if their vision has been stable for a period of time.  If your vision is still changing, you will need to wait for the vision to stabilize before undergoing LASIK.
